Let's Get Things Rolling!

Greetings!  Welcome to our blog!

We are working to get this place up and running as diligently as we can.  We hope you will find it insightful, useful, inviting, pleasant, enjoyable and all of those other wonderful, warm and fuzzy types of feelings.  We conceptualized this blog, initially, to be a place to document and share our journey and experiences through our crafting endeavors.  However, the more we worked on it, the more we realized we were being called to do something more and bigger than us in so many ways.

We hold a strong belief that everyone should have a creative outlet of some kind in their lives.  We realize that people are different and unique, but our experiences and interactions with others have shown us that creativity can be just as different and unique as each person.  Some people just need some trial and error to find that creative outlet that suits their personality.  Several years ago I would have told you that you also need to find the outlet that fits your schedule, but life has taught me that your schedule should not dictate your creative outlet.  Rather, your schedule should be re-worked to allow your time for self expression.  It may be the only relaxing and enjoyable time you have in a day, make sure you don't let life get in the way.

While we hold that creativity is therapeutic and needful, we firmly believe that something else is even more needful.  That is our faith and our salvation.  We can do all things through Him who strengthens us (see Philippians 4:13) and without Him we can do nothing.  The more we dwelt on this thought, the more we realized that we needed to set our sights Higher.  So, we begin our endeavor by including a place for those prayer warriors out there to join a network of other prayer warriors.  Our hope is that these prayer warriors will pledge to include the prayer requests posted on our blog in their daily prayers.  Which means we are also including a page for prayer requests.

This blog is in it's infancy, and like our children, we do not know what the future has in store for our blog.  This means we are open to the idea that the blog will grow and change while maintaining it's core personality of being a crafting blog.  If you have several minutes, please head over to our About Us page and learn more about why our faith means so much in our lives.

With all of this being said, I would like to let everyone know that posts may be made sporadically from time to time (and especially in the beginning while we learn and try to figure out the ins and outs of blogging).  We hope you will bear with us and please forgive us if we are unable to post as frequently as you would like.  We would love to hear from you and sincerely hope that you will be able to help each other with questions and ideas when we are away or unable to post.  We will do our very best to be as prompt as our bodies will allow in responding to your questions and comments.

Thank and we look forward to getting to know you as you get to know us.  We are praying that God will bless us all in our current and future endeavors and that we will Glorify Him through our efforts, always.
~ Mistie (and Michael)
