Lip Butter Recipe and Lessons Learned

My son, Jarod, is the inspiration for this crafting endeavor.  I had been planning to try my hand at this for some time but with CHRISTmas presents to make, that was put on a back burner.  That is, until Jarod had a medical need for some pure, unadulterated, unscented, undyed, unsweetened lip balm or butter.
